Congratulations to IDE Technologies

As recently reported in Globes, IDE Technologies, an Israeli company that is a worldwide leader in water technologies has been recognized by Britain’s “Global Water Intelligence” magazine as 2010′s Desalination Company of the Year, and its desalination plant in Tianjin, China was named 2010′s Desalination Plant of the Year! This would have made Israel’s first Prime Minister David Ben Gurion especially proud as IDE was founded in the early 1960′s to bring to life his vision of using technology to transform seawater into affordable water for drinking, agriculture and industry. In reviewing the many successful innovations IDE has pioneered over the years, it’s corporate history reads like a microcosm of Israel’s hi-tech revolution in other industries. Beginning life as a government entity, it eventually privatized and embarked on a path of successive breakthroughs that ultimately turned it into one of the stars of its industry, which we’ve previously written that Israel is a global leader in. It’s another great story of how Israeli innovation is making the world a better place.
